These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of timedrop.it and related services. They are offered to users in the United States. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent or guardian) and able to form a binding contract under the laws of your state to use the Service. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
timedrop.it lets you create encrypted “capsules” containing a letter, photos, or a voice note, set a future unlock date, and have a delivery link sent to a recipient by email on that date. Unlock dates may be set from one week to ten years in the future.
Once a capsule is sealed, its unlock date is fixed and the capsule cannot be opened early — this is a core feature, not a defect. Before sealing, you may edit or cancel a capsule. You are responsible for the accuracy of the recipient address and unlock date you provide.
You agree not to use the Service to send unlawful, harassing, hateful, or infringing content; to distribute malware or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service; to send unsolicited bulk messages or impersonate others; or to violate the rights of any person. We may suspend or remove capsules or accounts that violate these Terms.
You retain all rights to the content you create. Because content is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot access it. You grant us only the limited, technical permission needed to store and deliver your encrypted capsule. For public capsules, you grant us permission to display the contents anonymously on the public wall on the unlock date.
Your first capsule is free. Registered members receive four capsules per calendar year at no cost; additional capsules are $2 each. Prices are shown at the point of purchase and may change with notice. Paid amounts are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
We work hard to deliver every capsule on its unlock date and to keep the Service durable over long time spans. However, the Service is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or delivery if a recipient address becomes invalid.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, timedrop.it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where required by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to resolve disputes individually in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer.
